The Scottish Design Exchange

The Scottish Design Exchange brings local Artists and Designers to your High Street. It is a unique social enterprise where every penny spent goes directly to those who create. They exist to delight customers, reward artists and boost the local economy.

Through the Scottish Design Exchange I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from managing and creating social media marketing content and using existing brand guidelines to create additional graphic design elements such as social media assets, leaflet designs, brochures, additional logos and event posters.

Below: Brochure I created using provided copy and existing brand guidelines, followed by examples of social media graphics, a poster design created for an event and a ‘thank you for your purchase’ leaflet design. I also created an additional logo for the upcoming SDX podcast

Brought to you by The Scottish Design Exchange, the SDX Podcast dives into the world of creativity, talking with those who work in and those who influence the creative industries.

I created a sub logo for SDX’s new podcast launching 2022. The Logo needed to be eye catching and incorporate the current logo and branding of SDX, it was to be recognisable as something associated with SDX but unique enough to tell its own story.

The final design concept is simple, using a speech bubble imagery to convey conversations. I focussed on incorporating colourful variations of the logo depending on the topic of conversation that week. The logo is still recognisable, but it appears more organic in its form, to emulate painterly strokes and relate to the creativity of the business and topics.
